Fraserburgh – The Broch

Fraserburgh is known locally as ‘The Broch’, a town dating back to 1592 with a long history as a fishing port.  The town has a population of just over 12,500 and still has a thriving harbour despite the decline in the fishing industry over the past few years.

Fraserburgh beach is beautiful sandy beach which stretches out to the East and toward the villages of Inverallochy and Cairnbulg.  To the west of Fraserburgh rocky beaches lead to the villages Sandhaven and Rosehearty whilst inland the town is overlooked by Mormond hill.
